I don't believe it's November already. But then again I really want November to end soon. This morning I had like the worst dream of my life. I haven't been scared awake in a long while. I really don't hope what I saw in my dream will ever come true. It's too heart-breaking.

This is by far one of the worst weeks I've had this sem. I can't wait for all these to be over. I don't know how long I can last at this rate :'(

The only possible happy thing that happened is that I've got a place in hall. Just collected my keys today. Haven't seen my room and new roomie yet. Ohwell.

My Long Weekend

It's the beginning of my long weekend.
Holidaying from today all the way till next Tuesday cos it's Union day today so tutorials and labs will be affected. Tomorrow's tutorials and labs are also cancelled so we have no class today and tomorrow. Next Monday is off in lieu for the presidential elections and Tuesday is Hari Raya :) teehee
So glad that I can finally take a break from school even though it's only week 3.
From next week onwards, there will be lab every Thursday until recess week. And also need to set up the stupid yeast experiment.
Sort of can't wait for recess week because it'll be a break again.
Why do they have to make university so fast-paced?!

Whatever.
Just hope I don't screw up this sem. I'll still need my GPA to get me a place in INSTEP!

Was talking to Seb about my plans for exchange and to drop HE9091 for that and he suddenly asked "你跟你的男朋友讲了吗?他会让你去meh?“ hahaha, I think I will be the one who is more 不舍得 leh. I still believe girls tend to be more sticky, hee :x

Today's another major clash of events. Rescheduled tuition to this evening only to find out that PVS Welcome Tea was tonight at 7pm :( had to miss it for tuition since it's tutee's prelims tomorrow. Hope all goes well and that my tutee will do better for his physics.

Tomorrow's the first CBC215 lab session. Forgot all my lab stuffs already. Not prepared for all these D: TLC, IR, filtration. Sighs. Don't wanna do 6hr lab leh. Just hope I won't screw up anything tomorrow. These 3AUs are kinda really important! ARGH.

Just looking forward to Friday 'cos it'll just be tutorial. Prolly will be skipping Econs lecture as a whole already. Ohwell.

I fully understand the importance of studying and that my priorities lie in worrying about my grades, whatsoever. Just can't seem to get my heart to agree and get engaged in mugging already. Quizzes have been scheduled and seems like earliest is around week5. Need to get the point group stuffs right for CBC212 homeworks. Retrosynthesis is gonna get so messy and not to mention how boring HG8004 has been just today?! School blues are still here.

Second last week of my first ever uni summer holidays and it seems to be quite bad.

No funpack from NDP NE show last week
1 tuition cancelled completely
No money to spend cos I'm utterly broke

Sighs. Happy that at least I got to meet up with Nobody for dinner on Monday. Next planned outing is picnic @Barrage after national day. Hope it doesn't rain. Don't want school to start. Can't believe 2 whole months flew past just like that. Sighs.

As childish as it seems, I still have the phobia of starting school everytime it reopens. Never fails. Ever since primary school.

Just hoping my last few weekends of the holidays will be something enjoyable and that I will look forward to them.

Gonna blog because:
1. It's been a long, tiring week and I need to 发泄 some where.
2. Haven't blogged properly in a long time.
3. It's my 20th birthday.

Okay. So today I turn twenty.
Hmm, not too exciting huh. Not sure how people (including me) get excited about birthdays when it's not actually your birthday and you just get older on that very day.
But oh well, it's an excuse to have a celebration and meet up with friends you haven't seen in a long while :)
That's simply the best part.
And maybe the exam welfare packs, presents and angbaos from the parents. The second time in the year where you receive income as a student. Hahaha.

Back to ranting about school.
This week has been hectic. Three midterms - Spanish, Linear Algebra, Biochemistry.
Not too good a combination especially with Spanish and Linear Algebra on the same day.
Totally maxed out my luck and brains at Spanish :(
Biochemistry was today and overall not too bad, just that it started late.
Was supposed to be at 3.45pm but apparently they didn't have the keys to the exam hall until that time and with all the giving out papers nonsense, they only started the paper at 4.10pm.
Thankfully it's like MCQ and finished it by 4.45pm.

Had Sarpino's pizza for dinner (ok too much fats already hahaha) and headed to Cathay to catch Limitless.
Movie wasn't too bad. Quite an interesting plot though it's kinda gross at some parts (NC16).

Have a presentation next week and need to get slides out by Monday morning -.-
Where the hell am I gonna find time?!?!
Sunday must chiong so many thingssssssss :(
Weekends always end up burnt.
Sighs.

Then again, loved the company last weekend :D

Dearie,

I don't know why I decided to post this here for you to read. Maybe I'm just really not strong enough to tell this to you face to face.

Not sure if you noticed, but I think I am getting quite jealous whenever you're talking to other girls. Don't know if this is good because feeling jealous means that I care about you but at the same time it means that I don't trust you enough. I asked my friends who are attached if they felt the same way about their partners. Some told me to tell you because it wasn't good for me to hide what I'm feeling. Some told me to get over it because if I told you, it might affect our relationship. Took this long to decide but I'm finally here to tell you.

Every time I think of our good moments, I know I'm just thinking too much. Can't help but feel nostalgic after looking at this photo again. Found in the midst of studying for Sem 1 exams. But that is not the 重点. The 重点 is all the effort put into that SYF. My first, my only. The images of Mr Tang waving his hands, morning practices starting from tree house to track to outside PT, Krystal/Gwen hitting harmoc boxes at the front of the LT/classrooms, etc. How when a group of section 1-ers play page 4 to chiong page 5 of symphony, all other section ones can join in on time and section 2 and 3 will join when we get to page 1. And so breaks were never breaks 'cos we did all this. Running notes that took us forever to get right, rests that took us forever to remember, scores that took us (not so) forever to memorise. Plenty good memories. Thank you VJC HARMOC for making my JC life more happening than just House & first aid. And also making me feel more musically talented. Hee. ♥

Alrights, enough 感触 for the time being. Should get back to tutorials soon. This sem is passing too fast to be true.

it is officially the end of sem 1 and i am already 1/8 through my uni life. cheers

and so, met up with Hweeli to go for 5/10 Specialist Cadet Course Graduation Parade and Pasir Laba Camp tdy.
took train all th way back to boonlay and went to walk ard first since we were early.
then took 193 to pasir laba camp realising that many of the people on the bus were also going thr.
so thr were these 2 old aunties.
and 1 mother + 2 daughters
so the mother and daughters followed the aunties, even when jaywalking. LOL
while hweeli and i just followed behind (not jaywalking too much) :P
we reached thr ard 4 and seems like, thr were more kiasu people than us!
but it was a good thing we reached early so we could grab a seat :)

I wonder if anyone understands how much I am dreading school.
Lessons are one word = dreadful.
It's probably because I no longer have doodling mates like Audrey or gossip mates like Varruna to talk to during lectures.
And Si Han, Ian, Edmund, Edward & Fang He are no longer there to entertain us with some jokes every now and then.
All those full-stops and whatsoever, bring back wonderful memories.
Gossiping about "So what is the answer (x3)" & "ok class (x infinity)" & "girls & boys ......" seems to be so far away already.
I wish I can go back to studying for A levels, or better O levels.
Was re-reading HEROES by PED LEE yesterday, and I couldn't stop laughing.

Yes life is boring, all about school :/

Thankfully Jap seems a lot more manageable now though it's getting harder.

Organic chem is more or less H3, except for labs.

Biochem is D: cannot differentiate animal cell & plant cell. Superrrrrrrrrrrrrr. And major is cbc. Got the pro. OMG.

Calculus quiz was horrible, but not that horrible I suppose (heh)

Forensic is nothing but interesting but unfortunately, held in a very sleep-inducing venue of ny audi :/

Homework is piling up like crazy.
I cannot remember how to write A-I-U-E-O in jap, not to mention ALL THE OTHER HIRAGANA.
Climbing up stairs at NIE is hell tiring when you're chionging to lectures in the morning.
You don't realise how far LT27 is from Hall 16 until you're late.
Lecturers are mostly not Singaporean and I cannot understand what they say in lectures, not to mention their notes are equally un-understandable.
Textbooks serve more as lullabies than as references.
Screwed lab pro-forma quiz. I wonder if I might burn down the lab doing recrystallisation next Tuesday.
Quizzes coming in Week 5. (jap already came this week)
Tutorial worksheet for next week's tutorial on Tuesday not uploaded yet. Expected to chiong it on Monday night and be late for lab /: later Bates don't let me in how!
Labs are 20% ! o.0
Lectures should never be placed on fridays, especially until 4.30pm when I don't have other lessons.

School is like crazily unsuitable for one who has not touched books & notes & anything chem-major-related for 9 months. Then again, Erik says we're no longer in school, we're in University. So now we have to understand that life's not about thinking about how beautiful the other pasture is, but making your side beautiful too. I suppose there is no point grumbling about falling asleep in class because LTs/TRs are too cold, lecturers' voice sounds like lullaby, textbooks too heavy, etc etc.

Have been spamming my LJ so much recently that I've neglected my blogger D: so it's time for some proper update ;)

It's been such a chore shopping for hall stuffs. It feels like I am packing for camp + camp + camp + camp + .... and it never ends! HAHAHA. Seriously, as if I'm gonna move my whole house over to the other side of the island. Or like I'm gonna study overseas (ZOMG). So cui from preparing for hall & everything. Can't imagine if I had attended hall camp. Will totally have NO TIME to pack for hall can! Gawd. So not looking forward to the start of school. All the AUs + core mods + elec + GERPE + UE + CGPA + add/drop is killing me. (But I suppose it's a lot better than bidding!) Heh. Just hope that everything goes well in school and that I don't screw up any tutorials, get caught dozing off in lectures or burning down any labs :P

Today I did so much walking around Central London, I think I know the place relatively well enough. Haha! I also took the tube so
many times and it can get so confusing cos of all the different lines. So to some of my dear friends who can even get lost on the East-West line or NEL, don't try taking the tube yourself :P

But most importantly, today's the Queen's official birthday so there was this whole parade thing going on somewhere near the Trafalgar Square so we saw her in person! And she went waving to all the people of London from the balcony of the Buckingham Palace. Quite a good experience considering that not many people actually get to see her in person. Haha

After that was a visit to Madame Tussauds and seeing wax figurines of the famous people of the world. I got a photo with Steven Gerrard & Felicia's gonna be so jealous. Lol. Fel, you all should go to see the wax Gerrard when you all go to UK :) then it was some major shopping at Harrods where my mom, my sis & I spent over SGD 300 on 'plastic bags' as my dad calls it. HAHA

Finally, it's another ride on the Piccadilly line back to the hotel to catch England vs. USA live. We were almost late and my mom said it wouldn't really matter if we missed the first few minutes but Gerrard proved her totally wrong by 4". And Mr Green was so screwed by 40". Seriously, England deserves to play much better than this! /: sighs, full-time score: 1-1

That shall be all for the London update. Tomorrow is the visit to the GMT, London Eye, Tower Bridge, Big Ben & of course catching my lovely Germany vs. Australia at 7.30pm London time :D yayyyyyyyyyyy

I am finally free to come online to blog on a regular evening.
BUSY TTM over the past week 'cos I'm like working everyday! :O ZOMG.

First day of work for Jacintha on Monday & I worked with her. Not bad lah, just forgot to teach her how to do the passport photo stuffs /: HAHA. Then Tuesday night was alone 'cos Irene cmi last min. Wednesday night worked with Joclyn. Had YTF & 50% gong cha for dinner :) cheers, love the YTF uncle! I wish the chicken rice guy can give me a free box too. Maybe I should bring my own next time! LOL. Today was on morning shift & the customers kept coming! I couldn't even finish my $2.50 breakfast + hashbrown in peace! :O scary. But afternoon was like super quiet as usual. Most customers don't come between 1-5pm.

AND GOOD THING IT DIDN'T RAIN ON THE WAY HOME TODAY! :D
AND I FINALLY DECIDED TO GO FOR THE NTU CN YANG SCHOLARSHIP INTERVIEW. OMG, SCARY MAX D: Although I don't even know when's my slot yet! TSKKK.
Yes, wish me luck. I'll need it.

Yesterday was the first day of prac.
& also the day which the idiot technician wants to come to fix the printer so I don't need to be at work ! :D
So I can go watch DATE NIGHT with June. Now it's like a fortnightly affair :)
HAHA.

Met at CS Shaw to buy tickets then had Popeyes for lunch.
Watched movie until 230pm then walked around TM, CS & T1.
Sat at J.Co for quite long until there were quite a lot of people waiting for seats so we decided to leave for Uniqlo.
OK NOW I KNOW WHERE TO GO FOR THE POLO DRESS.
YES OK LAG. WHATEVER. HAHA

Then went over to Fairprice & finally found Waffle Crisp :) CHEERS.
Headed off to VJ around 5+ then reached at 620.
It was raining heavily at the beginning of Marine Parade Rd but significantly lesser at Marine Vista.

So walked into school & had 'dinner' outside the staff room.
Met quite a lot of teachers along the way. HAH

Then started prac like around 7++ 'cos almost everyone was late! D:
but actually only got 7 of us! SO LOL.

Ok enough of practice stuffs although it was a really good feeling to be back with the lovely people of NOBODY & playing together again! :)

Today is a better day 'cos it didn't rain when I was walking out to the MRT.
But, it still rained when I was walking inside Bugis Junction with the beloved Chopped Hair girl. HAHA

Ate Pastamania for lunch, & actually the soup pasta is quite nice :)
Wanted to take a walk at Bugis St 'cos Miss Chopped Hair wanna buy black butterfly earrings!
Too bad it was raining so we went to Iluma instead.
It was damn cold inside, like even worse than CTSQ! OMGGGG
So we decided to drop by the toilet where it was a lot warmer & take pictures.

Many many things have happened over the past 2 weeks I suppose.

Mar 4th
Met with 407 people to send Cal off to Shanghai at Changi Airport T3. Gonna miss this baboon sooooooooooooo much although I haven't seriously met up with her in ages! D:

Mar 5th
Thankfully not too much of doomsday for me :) & I knew everything would turn out fine for you lovely people. You all seriously needn't worry about those As yknow. HAHA :D

Mar 6th/7th
Missed SMU Open House 'cos I'm almost 99.9% sure that I won't ever choose it D: in the end, I just went shopping with my parents + work.

The further week was quite mundane until Friday.

Mar 12th
Met up with Miss Anthea Forgetful in (the) Wonderland to watch Alice in (the) Wonderland :D
Paid $10.50 'cos it was Friday night and the NETS promo is only valid from Mon-Thu -.- but it was quite funny though. Definitely worth every cent! Haha
Munched on Breadtalk during the movie & then went to sit under some staircase at the MRT station to take pictures and talk and laugh at people who say "为什么有escalator..." (inside joke) HAHAHAH.

Mar 13th
Went to NTU Open House with my parents. Listened to some of the talks. Totally gave up on NBS. LOL. But I really like that SPMS speaker! He's damn funny! :P After that we dropped by Jurong Point & I went to visit FN :) Yes really big space but it's not well-utilised D: and it's easily blocked up. (hahahah!) They should have just chosen the middle slot and gave up that stupid pillar -.-

Mar 14th
Woke up feeling a little sick already D: slept another 2 hours after noon then went to NUS Open House to look at the booths & stuff. Still felt damn gong when I woke up and changed to head for NUS. But after walking through the booths and perspiring like mad until the aircon hall + rain outside, I felt so much better. Must be the "perspiration reliefs fever" thing? LOL. Headed to work quite early but there wasn't much difference 'cos there weren't many people. Mel & I almost turned into fossils! D:

Yesterday & today were just normal morning shifts. I ACTUALLY SPENT MORE THAN 5 HOURS DOING MY HP PHOTO FLIPBOOK TODAY. OMG. I CAN'T BELIEVE IT EITHER. Hahahah. And anyway, was supposed to go 85 for dinner tonight but we couldn't thanks to two sick birds :( SIGHSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS. I need another dose of 85 soon pleaseeeeeeeeeeeee! Oh anyway, Xinni just asked me to give Khoonhan tuition! AHHHHH, STRESSSSSSSSSSSSS! LOL. I've lost touch with physics ever since 30 Nov 2009! HAHAH. Great. Better go research some stuffs first before Saturday. Really hope I don't screw up his grades! D: Good lucks to me & him! Hahah

I've decided that I shall go see the doctor tomorrow morning before work. And I'm meeting the guys at City Sq for dinner tomorrow night since it's Edward's last night (again) in Singapore. Haha. But I will still look forward to dinner. I'll learn to treasure every outing that I can get nowadays. Heh
